Combining liberal lashings of hard trance and hard NRG, the Bass Agents have played a major role in bringing the appeal of Hard Dance into the consciousness of dance savvy youth across Malaysia.

The Bass Agents, consisting of, Xt-Acid, Didjital and Ganjaguru, was formed in 2000 from the humble bedroom beginnings and the underground dance circuit in Melbourne. They finally returned to their homelands Kuala Lumpur in 2004 and began pushing the boundaries for Hard Dance at local events and club residencies at Barcode and Zouk.

The evolution of Hard Dance in Kuala Lumpur saw more potent street cred in 2005 when the Bass Agents founded Hardsequence, a successful monthly event that created a mass explosion of followers both state wide and internationally.

The boys’ dedication and persistence with Hardsequence paid off when it was awarded the “Best New Club Night” while the Bass Agents themselves were honoured for being the “Best New Local DJ” by JUICE Readers’ Choice Awards in 2005. 

The influence of the Bass Agents amongst Malaysians was once again recognized in 2007 & 2009 (Ganjaguru SOLO) by Martell VSOP’s “Rising Personalities Awards”, marking their place as leading figures in the local dance scene.

Collectively, they have played alongside a number of Hard Dance legends such as The Organ Donors, Alex Kidd, Steve Hill, Phil York, Dave Joy, Technikal, Dark By Design, Andy whitby, Paul Brisk, Scot Project, DJ Wag, BK, Kai Tracid, Thrillseekers, K90, Soul-T, Derb, Walt and Johan Gielen, to name a few.
