If there is one artist that is breaking through at such a rapid rate in the hard trance scene at the moment it is Nomad. This Australian wunderkind has excelled in producing some of the highest quality hard trance and hardcore that the World has seen! With the unmistakable production quality of the hardest basslines, the toughest kick drums and the sheer jaw dropping melodic skills, we see Nomad’s tacks being featured on such Labels as Excessive records, Masif and Atmosphere UK.
Inspired by his love for the Harder sound, Canberra based (but Georgia born) Nomad started his musical interest by learning to play the guitar. After a succession of performing as a lead guitarist in several bands, his interest in Electronic Music occurred at age 15.
Shortly after, with a move to Austria in 1999, he collaborated with local friend DJ Alamout and learnt how to mix Jungle/Drum 'n' Bass. This continued for a year until Nomad discovered Hardcore and Freeform. These styles motivated and excited Nomad and a switch to producing these genres occurred. With a debut set at Babylon in Canberra in 2003, Nomad's DJ career rocketed and It wasn't long before Nomad's DJing and Determination led to sets all over Australia, with the likes of Utopia, Powerhouse, Transmission, PHD and 3D all booking him to play, making him one of the most sought after DJs in the country.
He has since been given the opportunity to play alongside all the finest hard dance DJs the world has to offer such as UFO, Brisk, Impact, Technikal, Neophyte and Scott Brown. Not being limited to strictly hard dance he has also played alongside Psytrance allstars Halluciongen.
With his debut release as 'Nomad' coming out on JFrantic's Return Of The Clans imprint in 2008, Nomad's releases followed his collaborations with DJ Impact 'Utopia / Voices' on Nu Energy. Proving his diversity in production, it took a remix request (by friends at PHD) for the 'Let The Beat Drop' release by Hardforze + Soul-T for his popularity to soar as many of Europe's darker hard dance DJs such as Kutski, Fausto, Louk, Wragg + Log:One gave the track severe rotation. This included plays at Defqon 1 festival and led to his next solo hard trance tracks 'Acid Dream' and 'Ignited' being quickly snapped up by Compulzion and Atmosphere UK for release later in the year. This will be followed by some releases under his 'Overlander' guise.
Nomad’s tunes can be heard all over the world receiving support from International DJ’s such as Fausto, Proteus, Wragg and Log:One, including many more artists around the globe. The tunes have featured at parties such as Defqon 1 (NL / AUS), Trance Energy (NL) and Dance Valley (NL) . Not to mention Nomad having been booked to appear at ATMOSPHERE in the UK alongside hard trance heavyweights Organ Donors, Wragg and Log:one & Mark E.G. Nomad also firmly holds a residency at sublime and features at all of Australia’s Major parties. With a wealth of DJ and production experience and a promising future, this is one guy who is hugely worth checking out!!
